At least 20 people showed up at the tree-sits in Freshwater watershed east of Eureka this morning including PL security, Humboldt county sheriff's dept. and others, with equipment to try to extract tree-sitters from their perches high in old growth redwoods. Witnesses on the scene said a cherry-picker vehicle, grader, porta potties and other gear was brought up to the area this morning.

The situation is unfolding at this moment, but it appears law enforcement and security are setting up the equipment first around the tree that holds Remedy, who has been up in the tree for one year. Supporters of the tree-sitters are attempting to surround the tree to protect Remedy, and more supporters and local residents are arriving on the scene.
